My Hero!!!!

My CrossFit Journey began in 2012, I was introduced to CrossFit by my best friend, My Hubby – Harlee, I’ll never forget how my first workout, “The Sevens”, destroyed me in a humbling way and I was hooked.  SO… a little heads up, I’m that person that once I commit to something, it’s all or nothing.  While this characteristic has been one of my strengths in life, it has also been one of my weaknesses as well, because I tend to get a little crazy and overextend myself at times….LOL, there are only so many hours in a given day.  Balance is key in life and I’m constantly having to remind myself of this simple yet difficult concept:) Thankfully my hubby is able to reel me in a bit when I tend to go a little overboard and become over ambitious!!! He oftens tells me, “Honey, Rome wasn’t build in a day!!”

My Hubby, Love this man!!!

Anyway, back to CrossFit, so thus began my journey into a realm of fitness I had never yet experienced.  CrossFit is an amazing sport build on more than just a workout program, it’s a community, a family and a tribe of people driven to support each other along their own journey and the successes and struggles that come along the way. It’s an amazing feeling to walk into a CrossFit Box that is filled with passion, energy and a electricity of sheer will and courage as ordinary people push past their own fears and self doubts, daring to do what they once thought was impossible.  All along with the support of their coaches and community cheering them on to become better version of themselves.  If that doesn’t get you amped up then, well you are missing out!!!!

CrossFit is so much more than just physical, it’s an emotional journey has well, where you find yourself growing as an individual, pushing past your limits, challenging your mental fortitude and will to accept change and do what’s outside of your comfort zone.  CrossFit Develops confidence within yourself and the inner strength to work hard even after the drive and motivation has left you.

This blog is an exciting and heartfelt depiction of my journey as a CrossFit Athlete and Coach.  Throughout this journey I will share my struggles, opportunities, fun experiences, internal battles, successes, lessons learned and my constant conquest for personal development within fitness and life.

CrossFit is my passion and throughout my CrossFit Journey thus far I have learned and gained extraordinary insight into my our personal will, doubts, fears and fortitude.  I have been inspired by so many others following their own journey and fighting for what drives them, never surrendering to the fear of failure no matter the challenge, adversity or obstacle presented.
